Publishers begun its activities in 1996. The focus of
Piotita's publications is Political and Social Sciences.
The titles published so far are mainly introductory books
written by distinguished Greek professors and translations
from English and French. Most of the books are used as
university textbooks. The books translated from the English
and French languages are, in cooperation with university
professors, carefully chosen. The Publishing Houses abroad
with which Piotita already established cooperation are
the following: Harvard University Press, Princeton University
Press, Cornell University Press, MacMillan University
Press, Oxford University Press and Hachette. In addition
to the fact that the translators of our books are top
specialists in the field of political and social sciences,
all translated books are edited by more than one University
Professor who are also responsible for the inclusion of
a thematic index in the Greek language. The books published
by Piotita Publishers are scoring excellent results in
the Greek market as well as in Cyprus. In fact, we cooperate
with most distribution networks and upon circulation our
books are in every bookshop in Greece and Cyprus. Moreover,
we take care so as to have the books reviewed in the Greek
press as well as in other specialized periodicals. Following
our success in Political and Social Sciences, our company
is planning its expansion in other publishing fields as
well. We are also open to proposals for the translation
of our Greek language titles in other countries. |
